Delete your Geotagr account

One Geotagr account works on the website and in the Geotagr app for Android and iOS. Deleting it removes your account and its data everywhere.

How to delete your account

  1. Sign in at geotagr.com/signin. In the app, open the Account tab and tap Manage account: the website opens signed in.
  2. Go to Account → Data & privacy (geotagr.com/account/privacy).
  3. Under Delete account, type DELETE and press Delete my account. We confirm by email.

Can't sign in? Write to us through support from the email address of the account and we will delete it for you. You can also download a copy of your data first with Download my data on the same page.

What happens next

  • Your account is deactivated straight away and you are signed out on your other devices.
  • It is permanently deleted after 30 days. Sign in during that time if you change your mind and want to cancel.
  • A paid plan stops renewing and ends with the period you have already paid for.

What is deleted

  • Your account, profile, email address, password and sign-ins
  • Editor settings, presets, recent searches and saved business profiles, on the website and in the app
  • Workspaces you own, team memberships and API keys
  • Usage history, plan and trial records, and referral data
  • Your customer record at our payment provider (Stripe), which also cancels any subscription
  • Support tickets and your newsletter subscription

What is kept

  • Invoices and credit notes for payments you made, as tax and accounting law requires us to keep them.
  • Records of the consent choices you made, kept as legal evidence without a link to your account.
  • Usage statistics and email delivery logs, kept without a link to your account.

Your photos

Geotagr tags photos on your device and never uploads them, so there are no photos of yours on our servers to delete. The photos and the tagged copies on your phone or computer stay where they are. Uninstalling the app removes the settings it keeps on your device.
